On the 13th of September 2018 we will host a SAP CodeJam about Machine Learning. Abdel Dadouche will be the speaker from SAP. In a small interview he introduces himself and tells us what we are looking forward to.

And thats how he describes himself:
Abdel is from a very special species: He loves hacking, learning and sharing with people! After joining SAP through the acquisition of KXEN (a predictive tool vendor), he has recently become a Developer Advocate (his dream job since 1999). He travels the world running CodeJam on various topics such as SAPUI5, SAP HANA, express edition and Machine Learning.

In general, what do you think about the SAP CodeJam(s) Abdel?
SAP CodeJam is the best place to get hands-on experience as well as meet and network with local experts. And remember lunch is on us!

What do you think is the most important reason that SAP Leonardo Machine Learning is so essential? And why?
Not to repeat Björn Goerke, but the time has come for Intelligent Enterprise! After digitalising and automating manual processes, it is now time to make these processes think and take decisions.
This won’t be possible without Machine Learning. Everyone is already using, to some degree, predictions in their daily lives as a consumer so why not as an enterprise!

You have already written a blog series for people who are beginners on the topic of Machine Learning. Would you say that your presentation will also be for beginners?
Attending an SAP CodeJam only requires two things from attendees: bring your laptop and bring your curiosity. As for the answer; yes, you can be a beginner and attend!

What can participants expect from attending the SAP CodeJam?
They will learn the basics about Machine Learning, try it, run it and most importantly be able to start their journey.

Is there something you would like to communicate to the participants of the event?
Bring your curiosity and questions with you! And if you want to get started you can check some of my blogs on https://people.sap.com/abdel.dadouche like the Machine Learning in a Box series https://blogs.sap.com/2018/01/25/introducing-project-machine-learning-in-a-box/

Thank you very much for your time, Abdel! We are looking forward meeting you at a great community event!
