Deferred taxes with S/4HANA

With increasing globalization, SAP users in Germany are also confronted with tax regulations in different countries. These can be supported in and with S/4HANA. If accounting is carried out centrally in a shared service center for several countries within a group, the rules of the respective supported countries must be understood and applied correctly. For example, in some nations, sales tax is only due for payment to the tax office once the invoice has been paid by the customer. Accordingly, the input tax is only deductible upon payment to the supplier. Likewise, the calculated output tax must only be paid by the customer after the money has been received. In these cases one speaks of deferred tax.

By |6. December 2023|Categories: Blog, Blog, Blog, Blog, Blog, Blog, ERP, Expert Blog, S/4HANA, Services, Wir bei Inwerken|

Plan future liquidity requirements with the SAP Analytics Cloud: Not only, but especially, in times of rising interest rates, material, energy and personnel costs, companies are increasingly faced with the question of whether sufficient liquid funds are always available for current expenses. Planned investments also require sufficient short-term liquidity to be able to pay invoices.

These considerations also include considerations of short- and medium-term investments and loans. In order to make the right decisions, data from the SAP system must be considered together with planned items such as short-term investments, credit lines or short-term loans. For this purpose, SAP provides a tool in the cloud: SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC for short).

Training key users is an important part of our daily work at Inwerken because only those who know what needs to be done and what tips or tricks there are in daily use of SAP can use the advantages of ERP. In the following article, SAP consultant and seminar speaker Swen Goldschmidt explains why SAP basic training courses are so valuable for users and describes his experiences.

Observation: SAP key users work more complicated than they need to

I have been providing basic knowledge for SAP users for several years. Many companies hire new employees with SAP knowledge. Flexible Workflows in S/4HANA

By |18. April 2023|Categories: Blog, Blog, Blog, Blog, Blog, Blog, Blog, ERP, Expert Blog, Fachbeitrag, S/4HANA, SAP-Community, Services|

Workflow is a technology that delivers a task in the specified order, at the right time, to the right people, and with the right information. The goal is to minimize costs as well as error reduction with the help of automation. In the workflow itself, tasks are determined and the respective rules for agent determination are assigned.

A novelty for users in S/4HANA,  is the ability to configure workflows via a Fiori app. The underlying workflow technology is mainly based on the well-known SAP Business Workflow. The user’s configuration options include control parameters such as the validity periods of the work items, determining approvers via direct assignments, roles or individual BAdI logic. Furthermore, start conditions and event handling can be maintained.

The modeling of business workflows has traditionally been the responsibility of the IT department, which changes fundamentally with S/4HANA. In the meantime, these tasks can easily be taken over by process [Read more…]
